Of the major meteor showers that return to our skies at the same time each year, the Perseid shower puts on the brightest dependable

show on the night of August 11–12. Make sure that you check the sky often after dark. The very best viewing will be after midnight.

A linguistics professor was lecturing to his English class one day. "In English," he said, "A double negative forms a positive.

In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative.
