A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Brian has been President of the Kentucky Lottery Corp.; Chief Financial Officer of Potter Mining Co., Director and Treasurer of the Bluegrass Trust for Historic Preservation, and President of the Gratz Park Neighborhood Association. 

His experience includes being a licensed Realtor for more than 12 years, and he has owned and developed a Central Kentucky Thoroughbred breeding operation.
